Fabric Scrapping - at first glance it's a lovely book which I had never seen before.

Foraging and Vans

Hubby and I went foraging with a pair of ladders and my large basket and came back with a mountain of hops. We sat and removed them from their vines in the evening and there they are drying in the gorgeous sunshine we have had today.

One campervan tin as suggested. Three campervans around the tin, black and orange cotton for the top and bottom blanket stitch. In the shop now.

Daytime crafting :-)

After doing a little bit of housework this morning I sat for 45 mins and made 4 cards with the lavender I dried the other day. I lined them with lavender drawer liners so they smell lovely and have pictures of lavender inside as well. One of these is for an August birthday.

While sat with JJ this afternoon I made a pen pot for our computer table, then after tea I sat and made these bean bags with tails.

There are actually 5 of these but one 'accidentally' landed in the potty! Now, as they are filled with green lentils I'm not sure whether it will survive the rinse under the tap :-/.

More cheerful

After I finished the last post I thought I'd go and do some crafting as I haven't been in the mood to do any since my brother's birthday card. Anyway, thought I'd do something quick so I made the kids another can for their bits and bobs - now they've got no excuses (although I'm sure they will think of some) for losing the scissors, or their pens or anything else that should be in the tin ;-).

I also remembered to take a picture of the candle dyes - after reading it again it's actually one stick to 2 kg of wax not 1kg. Might have a go with my beeswax later - I do love the colour of beeswax but it's nice to play isn't it?

Can't be bothered to think of a title!

Bottled up the elderflower cordial this morning - there's actually 7 bottles but I'm pants at taking pictures so you can't see them all. Me and JJ have nearly finished one already (we do add water!)

This is the 'pencil crayons' tin that I made last night after I got in from my bereavement counselling group. I decided not to do one for the paint brushes as it will just get ruined by wet brushes.

Car boot discoveries

Went to our first car boot of the year this morning - yay. I love car boot sales. Got loads of bargains for the house and boys, but the best discovery/buy, by far, was a local beekeeper selling some beeswax. Fantastic. I now have his address so I can get more when needed - and it's only 10 miles up the road.

Thought I'd best make something for the kids before I start on the next lot of orders I've got to do. Although they use empty tins for the felt tip pens and pencil crayons, I've never actually covered them (shame on me), so tonight I managed to make these 2 - one for the broad tips and one for the narow tips. Just got to do the pencil crayons and then the brushes.

Loads to show and tell you

I made this crochet cuff last week but forgot to show you with everything that was happening here. I also did the lip balm, but again, forgot the photo before I delivered it.
Last night for tea we had the last of the wild garlic in a prawn, pea and wild garlic rissotto with some more wild garlic bread.
