Handmade Yule Gift List

I sat for an hour last night writing down my handmade Yule gift list - I would like to make as much as possible this year, or buy from mamas who make things by hand, so here goes:-
  • 4 x pamper hampers (couples) to include 2 bars of soap, 4 bath bags, 2 chamomile bath milks, 1 bottle massage oil, 1 bottle rosehip vodka, 1 jar fudge, 1 teacup candle, 1 bag or basket to hold it all.
  • 1 x pamper hamper (single mum and her 2 girls) to include 2 bars of soap, 1 salt scrub, 1 face mask pot, 1 teacup candle, 1 jar fudge, 1 massage oil, 1 bag to hold it all.
  • 1 x 'special Nan' pamper hamper to include 1 bar of soap, 2 bath bags, 1 chamomile bath milk, 1 bottle rosehip syrup, 1 cake, 1 jar jam, 1 bag to hold it all.
  • 1 x teenage girl pamper hamper to include 1 bar of soap, 1 face mask pot, 2 bath bags, 1 chamomile bath milk or bath salts, 1 jar fudge, 1 bag to hold it all.
  • 3 puppets, fabric or knitted.
  • Sewing kit, including pin cushion.
  • 2 pen pots
  • 2/3 book marks.
  • 1 pyjama bag.
  • 1 lego play mat.
  • 2 pairs fingersless gloves.
  • 3 padded message/notice boards.
  • 2 fabric book holders to fasten to beds.
  • Man bag.
  • 1 apron.
  • 1 dolly from the lovely Pippa.

I'm sure there will be other things added as I go along, and I know I'll struggle with the teenage/young man nephews but hopefully I'll find something along the way. The above piccie is the first two completed - 1 bookmark and 1 pen pot.

Having a great time

Very busy at the minute but in a lovely way (even enjoying some housework, sshhh). The stress of having the builders in was far greater than I realised, but they are gone now and everything else is great. The above are the two snugglies I had an order for. All posted now.

I made these felt tin covers last night - just need another tin for the green one!

After a quick look in a charity shop today I came away with these three doilies for 50p - fabulous. This is what they look like now......

Definitely enjoying getting ready for this craft fair - far more than I thought I would. June is a month of birthdays, so I need to be fairly organised (hehehe) so I'm not making cards at the last minute because of stocking up on pieces for the fair. I can live in hope ;-).
Oooo, I recieved a beautiful blogger award from the lovely Pippa so I shall post about that tomorrow hopefully - got to think of 10 things about myself and whittle my blog list down to just 10 beautiful blogs!!!!

Keeping busy

Well, Friday turned into one of those days after I posted on here. My Nan rang to say my Grandad had been rushed to hospital as he had had a massive stroke. He already suffers terribly with alzheimers and is in a care home...anyway, we are now playing the waiting came, so I am keeping busy.

Above is the sewing I managed to do Friday afternoon - 3 cloaks and 1 bag inner. I'll show you the finished articles properly once I had added the elastic and finishing touches.

A flower can for an order.

JJ didn't have a tin for his pencils so I asked him yesterday what colours he would like and what he wanted on it. No stereotypes in this house :-).

My sister wanted two pen/pencil pots for her house warming gift, so I did those last night.

I have also been looking at order books and things for logging commission orders that I get. I couldn't find anything that was exactly as I wanted it so I thought I would design my own.
Right, back to waiting, and keeping busy.

Birthday cards

I made my middle son's birthday last night (it's his birthday today), loved it so much I made another one as well. I'll make some more of these, I think, as they are quite simple to do and look lovely. I've also added the new keyrings to backing cards and priced them so I'll be sticking them in my shops. Oh, I got an order today for another bag, and a fabric covered tin for my niece's birthday. I also need to make another card, preferably tonight, as it's my father in laws birthday tomorrow ;-).
I seem quite calm at the moment and enjoying things again so I'll try and get alot done over the weekend before Monday comes round again.
