'Designed by Shell' done

I sat and made the flower keyring this evening. I've stitched it onto a double thickness square backing as it would be handled regularly and would soon look quite tatty.

Been busy

Been busy today. I've made the pink knitted monster for my niece, made a tiny knitted chick and I've nearly finished a knitted duck. The chick and duck are from The Children's Year. Quick to do and quite effective. The chick is so small that he won't photograph properly (he has actually got blue eyes) - I'll show you the duck tomorrow as he is only half stuffed.

I also bought some more fabric off Ebay (no comments please Claire ;-) ). They arrived this morning. More green paisley by Vera Bradley, some green polka dot and a gorgeous pink fairies and dandelions.

One for Etsy/Misi

Just finished the bag I was making so I thought I would show it to you all before I put it on Etsy/Misi. I haven't put anything on there for a while - hopefully that will change now.

Mmmmmmm

After going to an art gallery this morning we nipped into the shopping area. A wool shop was calling to me so I had to go in - it was this wool below you see, singing it's 'come and stroke me' song. Well, who could resist?! Gorgeous D K by Twilleys of Stamford - 75% bamboo 25% nylon. Feels gorgeously soft.

When I got home there was a parcel of dried lavendar waiting for me. I'm going to make some lavender and hops cushions. I already have hops which I foraged and dried last year, but my own lavender bushes were not planted until last autumn so I don't have any of my own for any projects.

WIP

Said I would show you the other bag I started - it's a brown bag with a tree on it. Just got to finish the trunk, maybe add some embellishments and then line it with the green patchwork material.

Good Friends

Made the birthday card for my very good friend's birthday yesterday. She came today for lunch and it was lovely.

While sitting on my bum yesterday I also managed to sort through some more magazines my MIL had fetched for me.. Not as much inspiration in these as there was in the others that she brought. Good for recycling now.

And in the post today was a lovely parcel from another very good friend. Although we have never phsically met she knows me very well - buttons and ribbon for my hoarding addiction!

Finishing bits and bags

Stitched some fabric Cars badges onto a bag for Ds3 this afternoon. He wanted a bag to keep his cars in so this is great even if it's a little big for him. Made the lining for my bag this evening as well - it's gorgeous. I've got to finish a card for a good friend's birthday tomorrow. Luckily for me (as I had to finish that lining), she's out all day so I won't see her until Tuesday.

New Bag

Actually done some crafting today. Stitched some leaves and a flower onto a cotton bag. I'm going to line it with the green paisley fabric as well, as I love it.

Wow, what a week (enough sarcasm?)

Well, on the way back home from town this afternoon we passed my Dad, him driving a coach and us in our very distinctive car, and he completely ignored us. It seems we are not wanted/needed anymore. As he has already alienated all of his friends and now my sister and I, I'm really worried about him. He is only speaking to my brother and his brother - that is it.


Still not really in the mood for crafting.
